With the influx of “classier” malls in the metropolis, the malling experience has gone a notch higher than just simply shopping— it has extended to games and recreation, movie-dating, even banking, and yes, more dining choices.
In today’s malls, we can see that casual dining restaurants remain to be the fastest-growing sector among full-service operators. However, there are signs of structural changes emerging within the casual dining segment— as shaped by the ever-changing consumer lifestyles and growing demands.
Consumers are now becoming more discerning that they look for more upscale “polished” casual dining alternatives amidst the burgeoning of the fast-food chains. Most of our diners today look for something that can offer both value for their money and convenience.
It is in this light that Peri-Peri Grill House, located at the equally modish Greenhills Promenade Shopping Center, decided to give the restaurant a facelift, that will define what “polished casual dining” is all about.
According to Tricel Nava, resto’s marketing manager, the “new” Peri-Peri wants to make guests happier by providing excellent food choices, right portions, great prices, exceptional guest service, and great ambience.
Formerly known as “Peri-Peri Chicken”, it still gives the same comfort that regular patrons have learned to like about the place— in fact, it offers more with its chic and classy interiors: dim lights, Zen-ish appeal, and lighter music.
As it recently re-opened its doors, Peri-Peri boasts of a more diverse menu offering.
Start a meal with the crispy Taco Platter or the spicy and creamy Shrimp Diablo, which would truly warm up your tummy for a big order of Chicken Diablo Pasta that’s tossed in a creamy Cajun sauce.
The Wild Chicken Wings and the Portuguese-style grilled Whole Chicken are must-trys, which go perfectly well with the restaurant’s signature hot pepper sauces that mainly use the African bird’s eye chili called, what else but “Peri-Peri”.
“Not many people know the labor that goes into our grilled chicken’s unique flavor. Our chicken is marinated at least 24 hours in our own special spices; the chicken is never frozen so it stays tender; and its grilled to order over charcoal flame to reduce fat content,” adds Tricel.
And for those who go in big groups, we recommend that you dig into the huge Chicken and Ribs Platter or try Peri-Peri’s other specialties like Texas style ribs, thick and tender saucy chops, and 100% angus beef burgers.
So, next time you crave for grilled chix, steaks, or chops, but you’re in your most comfy, infamous flip-flops, fret not. You need not to go to a watering hole. There’s a “more polished” restaurant for a stylish shopper-cum-diner like you.
